Legon Cities won their first game of the new season on Friday by beating WAFA 1-0 while Viric started his spell at Dreams FC on a winning note, defeating Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0.
Ashantigold tamed Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium by coming from behind to win 2-1. Eleven Wonders ended their five-game winless run by beating Karela United 3-1 in Techiman.

Legon Cities 1-0 WAFA
Legon Cities picked their first win of the season through Joseph Adjei’s second half penalty on Friday in their game against WAFA at the Accra Sports Stadium.
WAFA’s free scoring form against Medeama the week before couldn’t reflect in the game, but the Royals’ inability to score from open play still continues.
Legon Cities are 17th in the league with 6 points. WAFA sit fourth with 13 points.
Medeama SC 2-1 Aduana Stars
The Yellow and Mauves finally won a game at home this season in the league on the fourth attempt, beating Paa Kwesi Fabian’s side at Tarkwa on Saturday afternoon.
Agyenim Boateng scored in either half to hand Samuel Boadu some breathing space at the Medeama hot seat. Bright Agyei grabbed the consolation for the Fire boys.
Bechem United 1-1 King Faisal
The Hunters failed to win at home for the first time this season by playing out a draw against the In Sha Allah lads at the Nana Gyeabour Park in Bechem.
Skipper of the side, Moro Salifu, handed the hosts the lead in first-half injury time, but in form Kwame Peprah pulled the equalizer for Faisal in the second-half, his fourth of the season.
King Faisal are now bottom of the league with 6 points, Bechem United are level on points with Ashgold at the top.
Berekum Chelsea 1-0 Inter Allies
The Bibires defeated a toothless Inter Allies that are struggling for a cutting edge in their game to their first win of the season at the Golden City Park in Berekum.
Paul Agyei Attah scored the only goal of the game early in the first half to put Berekum Chelsea two points above the drop zone.
Dreams FC 2-0 Ebusua Dwarfs
Black Satellites WAFU Cup hero, Percious Boah, scored twice in the second-half to hand new Dreams FC head coach, Vladislav Viric, a winning start to life at the dugout of the Still Believe club.
It’s their second win of the season and lifts them two places above the relegation positions.
Eleven Wonders 3-1 Karela United
Ignatius Osei-Fosu’s side won a game after a run of five games without a victory. Diawusie Taylor’s consolation was not enough as the Pride and Passion club succumbed to a second straight defeat.
Tetteh Nortey, Nana Kobina Osoh, and George Amponsah got the goals for Wonders at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Techiman on Sunday.
Great Olympics 1-2 Ashantigold
Gladson Awako’s early goal for the Dade boys was not sufficient to avoid defeat at the Accra Sports Stadium. The Miners rallied from behind to pick their first away win of the season.
Amos Addai pulled the equalizer in the first half while substitute, Yaw Annor, who came in for the scorer, grabbed the winner for Cirkovic’s men.
The win sends Ashgold top of the league log with 15 points. Olympics are 6th on the table with 11 points.
Elmina Sharks 1-1 Hearts of Oak
The Phobians couldn’t pick a third win on a bounce and had to come from behind to draw at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday evening.
James Bissue shot Sharks into the lead 20 minutes into the game, but Victor Aidoo pulled the equalizer for Hearts of Oak just past the hour mark.
The draw sees Hearts of Oak lie 5th on the table with 12 points, while Sharks are 11th with 10 points.
