I Have No Regret About Joining Arsenal – Mesut Ozil

Transfer Market: Arsenal Loan Ozil, United Will Not Buy Alaba

Amidst growing speculations of a pending exit from Arsenal during the current transfer window, Mezut Ozil has declared he has no single regret about joining the London club.

Ozil who had a celebrated arrival in Arsenal back in 2013 under Arsene Wenger has been totally frozen out of the team at Emirates Stadium under new coach, Mikel Arteta and looks set to exit the club this January.

However, despite the frustrating situation in which he has found himself in recent times at the club, the playmaker has declared he’ll never regret joining Arsenal.

He made the submission while answering questions from his Twitter fans, saying that he has enjoyed his time at Arsenal.

“There have been many ups and downs so far, but all in all I’ll never regret my decision to join Arsenal. And to be honest, the last couple of games before the corona break in February & March 2020 made [it] really a lot [of] fun.

“I’ve enjoyed that time a lot and I’ve thought we’re really on a very positive way. But after the break things unfortunately changed,…” he said.

The player also had kind words for Wenger, describing the former Arsenal boss as a great coach and a sincere person.

“Arsene Wenger is a special coach in my career, one that I have total respect for,” Ozil said. “He is a great coach with numerous titles. Most of all, he’s a great, sincere person.

“I associate him with my greatest Arsenal successes. I will always remember that time with him positively.”

Naija News reports that so far, Ozil has won three FA Cups and a Community Shield during his time at Arsenal.

Earlier, this online news medium also reported that the draw for the fourth round of the FA Cup has been released on Monday night.

English Premier League side, Manchester United will clash with last season league champions, Liverpool.
