The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have said it would renew Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr’s contract if he agrees to stay in the country.

Concise News reports that Rohr’s contract expires in June 2020 with the NFF and the German yet to finalise plans for a new contract.

While speaking about the coach’s contract impasse,  Pinnick said during a media parley in Lagos State on Thursday that there would be new clauses to Rohr’s contract including making him stay in the West African nation.

“We are going to renew Rohr’s contract with Nigeria before it expires. Unlike the previous contract, we are going to insist now that he stays in Nigeria with accommodation for him in whichever city he prefers between Abuja and Lagos,” he said.

“We don’t feel bad he spoke his mind on the state of football in Nigeria. We believe his intervention is bound to be a wake-up call for us and the players.
