BREAKING: Drama As Edo Speaker Indicts Governor In Fresh Plot To Take Over Assembly

The Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Frank Okiye has reacted to his impeachment by 17 members of the state Assembly.

Mr Okiye in his reaction on Thursday described his removal as speaker of the house as a non-issue.

The lawmakers during the plenary also inaugurated 14 lawmakers-elect that had yet to be inaugurated, after which they allegedly impeached Frank Okiye and Roland Asoro as Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively.

But reacting to the impeachment, Okiye simply said, “It is a non-issue and I do not want to respond to such issues.”

Recall that security operatives were spotted at the entrance of the State’s House of Assembly as members convened for another plenary.
