Amid the ongoing DRS controversy between Team India and South Africa’s third Test match, India captain Virat Kohli was seen venting his anger at the stump mics. A similar incident happened in the Ashes on Day 2 of the 5th Test match between England and Australia, in which Stuart Broad was caught yelling at a camera.
The hilarious incident happened during round 63 of Australia’s first innings, as England pacemaker Stuart Broad charged into Mitchell Starc’s bowl, but he pulled out of his stride when he saw a traveling cam moving just behind the head of the wicket keeper.
Distracted by the sudden movement of the camera, Broad hilariously stopped angrily yelling, “Stop moving the robot,” referring to the traveling camera. Cricket.com.au then shared a clip of the hilarious incident.
Meanwhile, Twitter fans were quick to point out to Broad how he should have shouted about it at the stump mics instead, referencing what Virat Kohli did a few days ago.
On Day 3 of the third Test match between India and South Africa, Kohli expressed his anger by shouting over the stump mics, as Proteas skipper Dean Elgar was given a reprieve after being sent off from LBW earlier.
Netizens, however, quickly discovered similarities between the two incidents.
Here’s how Twitterati reacted to Stuart Broad’s screaming incident on camera:
I should have said that on the stump mic. Seen this recently. — Hisham (@DRSisdrunk) January 15, 2022
This one, the council had every right to complain.
With Kohil blaming SuperSport in South Africa for what happened after the DRS decision was overturned was absolutely shameful.
